O2 instead of propane

I noticed at my home depot while buying a propane bottle for my pistol mags that they sell oxygen bottles the exact same size. Has anyone ever tried using oxygen instead of propane? The cost was about the same and there would (I assume) be no smell. I just don't know what it would do to the mags or if the pressure would be wrong.

For lack of a better term It doesn't have the same " juice" that propane has.

HPA or O2?

HPA would probably blow the seals on your mags and if you even got it to fire without blowing up it would only last one shot because there's no regulator or space for one.

As far as O2 is concerned however, I've never seen what you're referring to at Home Depot....

Even if you managed to get highly compressed air into your mag, you would not have enough pressure to empty 30 rounds. What make your shots last, is the liquid gas that get transfered into the gas chamber.

What you need is a gas that is more resistant to cold, most of the time. Propane is fine for summer use. But for every other seasons, I beleive ethilene would be the gas needed.

If you get a petroleum or another combustible substance in the pressurized oxygen cylinder, it might lead to spontaneously combustion.

Correct. An O2 tank going boom isn't going to be pretty or fun!

Not to the people involved, but it'd be funny to watch a GBB tear itself apart.

These numbers might be wrong but a quick google search came up with this:

Liquid O2 = 21 psi
Compressed O2 = 2000 psi

Yeah buh bye gbb

I can't even begin to explain how incredibly dangerous it is to run pure oxygen in a GBB
