set up

My M4 last night with my Hurricane replica... on the front..

Adjusted to be lined up with the site... and whamo... its great..

The reticule is a little large due to eye relief.. but that would not be present with a real holosight...

Reticule almost fills the battle site..

I think it looks great.. and it works well for taget aquisition .. I'm liking it

I may run it tomorrow at the CQB training session scheduled at TTAC3 and see how it works in live fire

Sweet, it's also fast on target too. Pictures will come soon as I test out some spots and advantages.

Had it like this.
You can have yourself the view, and make yourself less visible.

Also having the Eotech on the front gives you more space to view when not focused on sight.

Just to clarify, placing an Eotech on a railed handguard will not cook your optics. If enough radiant heat is generated to cook your optics, your barrel is already gone.

Lol, that "PSD" is protecting our Minister of Defence, Peter MacKay! I'd say he's way above PSD status, think JTF-2 like the link shows.

That's not mounted to the handguard. It's located floating over the handguard, but actually mounted to the carry handle.

Thanks to this thread I had to try it for myself... I mounted a real 552 in front of the carry handle on my M16 and had a chance to test it in a CQB situation this past Sunday. I have to say, I`m a fan of the setup. I`ve always preferred having the carry handle, and never thought to mount the holosight in front of it. Now I have my favourite BUIS cowitnessed with my favourite optic. Win!
