Not proof, but I found this on the Seals Action Gear site regarding a multicam holster - perhaps I misread.

"This holster will fit a variety of popular handguns, including the SIG 226/220, Glock 17/22/etc., Beretta 92F (M9), Colt 1911 (and variants) and also the S&W 5946 used by the RCMP, whose ERT units requested that we have this holster built in Crye Multicam for their tactical field units."

Why would the RCMP need Multicam unless they're airsofting?

Interesting! I'm new to the whole Multicam thing and wasn't aware that it was used by law enforcement agencies.

I decided I needed a new, other than generic black SWAT, uniform and Multicam might be the way to go. I've researched other types (MARPAT, CADPAT, ACU, etc.) but multicam is both sexy and seemingly effective. At first, I was considering ACU; however, I've read that it's not as effective for a number reasons. Any opinions?

Yes, RCMP does use Multicam.

No, I can't (won't) give you proof.

Does anyone know what the Toronto ETF uses? Are there any Canadian SWAT teams that use the XM177?

I work security at a downtown Toronto bank. One Sunday I saw this woman get pulled over by this big black Chevy suburban with flashing blue and red. Then I saw these guys getting out and they looked damn serious wearing shades and full body armour lol. One guy approached the woman in the car. Then they all drove off with no one being arrested.

Maybe she was his wife and wanted to say hello! lmao

I think "standard" is not applicable here, because it's like saying "what does a standard motorcycle racer use". Uh - lots of things.

I've seen
MP-5A3 - the standard
MP5SD3 - one of these
M4A1 - another standard
M16-style
and for special occasions:

M82 Barrett .50 cal
different variations of sniper guns
night vision scopes on sniper guns (different types)

For what they wear, it's usually:

-Standard black, with specially sewn matt-black patches

or

- Multicam

or

- Their choice of camo or Ghillie suit

All these things I mention I've touched and handled, so I know it's not heresay.

they wouldn't use CF helmets they sit to high on your head, the ones the ETF use hug there head and the sides come down over there ears offering better head protection
