I belive the trek is just as strong and also has about the same options, is more compact (if you want the collapseable) and weighs less as well.
They show testing with a full grown man and a 75kg weight being supported by the umbrella. And it stopping/deflecting what is basically a waterfall without breaking.
They just don't market it as a self defence tool.
I wonder if they are hiring lol

I've had one for years and it works great. I'm not too big on fighting in it, I'd rather have like s Crye wind liner or something for that. But for hunkering down, protecting your gear, pure ease of use, or hiking in the rain, it's great.
That's a badassed poncho/bivi right there. And prety damn cheap considering its multicrap. Shame they don't make it in woodland or OD but I guess i can deal with it.
They definitely improved over the oldschool "half shelter" type ponchos.

I've got one of those. Worth it for when I go on trips. I'm considering getting one of the newer telescoping ones.

Not that useful for airsoft.
