Snappy Response without going Lipo.

Hey, I am currently looking to get my internals redone, I want a johnny on the spot trigger response without going Li-po and keep er' at a healthy 350FPS.
Where should I start?

What misconceptions do you hold that prevent you from getting lipos?

You should start by reassessing your battery options. You are not going to get "johnny on the spot" trigger response unless swap over to 11.1.

Current output on Ni-MH batteries is too crappy for your gun to fire in the same century that you pulled the trigger.

This Reddit post seems really informative, and might make me consider getting an 11.1V lipo if it would significantly increase trigger response while I am upgrading.

Theres nothing wrong with going lipo. Theres more advantages than just the voltage

Yes, the trick is quality lipo's and quality balance charger. Good lipos are only about $10 and a good charger is under $50, if purchased from the right retailer!!!

If I end up taking the Li-Po train, I'd need to upgrade my internals correct?

Let me ask you this:
What's the difference on your internals between running 30rps on an NiMH battery versus running 30rps on a lipo battery?

when you put it that way? nothing at all. I'll just run stock gears until something catastrophic happens.

My point is you'd have to do the upgrades no matter what battery you chose.
But as for actual advice:
high torque motor (either neo magnet/high speed or ferrite magnet/high torque)
high speed gears
7.4v lipo
mosfet

lipos will provide more amperage in a small battery, meaning more torque in the motor getting those gears up to speed faster.

I would recommend a lonex Titan motor paired with a MOSFET and 7.4 lipo
Here is a link about lipo batteries and just about every question you could have will be answered in it

And this link is full of batteries that will suit your needs.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...nano_tech.html

Read the iinfo found in the first link I sent first to assess what your needs actually are in a battery before making your choice.
P.s: if you leave the link open on a battery you like and want for about a half hour, you should get a popup offering a discount on the battery.

The difference is that you would probably be running a 12v NiMH or maybe with the right setup a 10.8, the size and weight of that battery would suck.

Advice to the wise, Do not buy a charger from a airsoft retailer. Go to a RC shop, your dollar will get your much further.
