Here is my poor mans contribution to this thread, 2 mega pixels YAY! A&K carbine length SPR mod1 king arms FN M16A4 receiver with CNC engravings king arms Ops INC. 12th silencer Sharp EYE Acog red dot Shooting 430fps with stock internals I plan on making her into my 3 round burst outdoor/DMR rifle with a 6.01 inner barrel the full length of the silencer. Its 350mm I plan on putting a 455mm AK barrel (Click to enlarge)

My King Arms Colt M4. I need to strip and refinish the receiver (not a fan of the grey at all ) and install a Madbull NSR when they get released. Other wise I am quite happy.

My trusty G+G m4 one of the first line of tinted lowers,still running strong almost two + years on tinted lower! Just had the m203 installed today

Its not so much a matter of upgrading it. Clear just doesn't look good. Lol.
Anyway. I did the unthinkable and put magpul shit on one of my AR's. Found that I really don't like the AFG. I'm not sure if its just because the gun is so short. But its just not comfortable. Gonna see if I can get a regular ol' vert grip instead. (Hey, I gave magpul a chance.) The gun is obviously a WIP with the barrel sticking out of it. But we'll see how it turns out. Still have yet to get the optics, sights and battery box I want.  One of these guns is not like the others... Last edited by Strelok; November 15th, 2012 at 23:49.. |

The AFG works for longer guns... really only useful when you have the arm extended. It isn't designed for such a tiny setup.

I've got arthritis in my wrists (as well as pretty much everywhere else) and find that the AFG compensates for my lack of flexibility in the wrist joint - I can keep my wrist straighter, which equals less discomfort and swelling at the end of the day. I run it pretty close to the magwell, like that Tanker M4. A traditional vertical grip would do the same thing - but aesthetically, i just don't like them.
