Thats exactly what I was thinking about using it for.

Ive bought gen1 NV and deemed it useless. Gen2 is a little steep for the amount of games I would use it in a year. This thing at least I could use at home to detect drafts and stuff...

XR released this past shot show.

The XR is the version I have, although I see they've put out an update to their app, specifically for the XR, so I'll have another look and try to compare. Two important points to remember though...

In airsoft you typically don't get within 50ft of the guys, and you'd really like to know if there's guys 100-150ft in front of you, I still think this would be difficult with the Seek, but I'll try it out.

If you get close enough for this to pick out an enemy, when it's dark enough that naked eyes won't see them, you will be close enough that your smartphone will literally light up your face so you'll be easy to spot with no fancy device needed
