AK-47 stock for long arms.

Hi guys so I am hunting for my first gun and I am really set on AKs. I am 6'4 and had this one in my hand yesterday:

https://aventureairsoftlanaudiere.co...s/javelin-ak74

Holy! the stock was so short and couldn't get a confortable position while have it shouldered. So next thing I did was to go through all the Canadian supplier sites I know about and tried to see If I could figure out if there is a longer one out there. But I cannot figure it out by myself. Need help finding a suitable option.

Guess I'll have to kiss the wooden look goodbye and go the adjustable stock tacticool look.

First, don't touch the G&G AKs. For the same price or a bit more you can get a LCT or E&L and they are MUCH better.

You can add a bit of length to the stock with one of these: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/-/32804241154.html

Merci !

Keep them options coming. This might bring back the classic look back on the menu.

I didn't like what I have read on the G&Gs vs other brands but for a trial fit I figured I'd get my hand dirty

Brand wise I had my eye set on CYMA or LCT. I'll give E&L a look too.

Any adjustable stock that is know for being very long ?

PMC AKs have M4 style sliding stock and they can be adjusted to be much longer than an AKM wood stock.

Cyma is a good choice for a starting gun, don't expect it to last your whole airsoft career though, to sell them for so cheap they had to cut corners compared to higher tier brands. But if you treat it well, it will serve you well and they are usually pretty good out of the box. But if you can afford a LCT, definitely go for it.

Zenitco PT-1 I like it... but it'll be about 1/3 the cost of your gun.

STKBR stock extends quite a distance and is a bit cheaper than PT1.

Noted thank you.

I Might have fallen to the dark side shopping for those stocks. Maybe, just maybe, might be going with an all black AK.

Them LCT LTS-keymode 13.5 are sexy.

One thing I should point out that most people (including people way shorter than you) dont know how to hold rifles (especially AKs) properly. The usual inclination is to put the toe of the stock up high in the pocket of the shoulder and this forces you into a goofy chicken wing bladed trap/skeet shooting stance where longer is better.

Like this guy, dont do this

Instead, stand naturally squared to the target with your feet slightly apart as if somebody was trying to push you over, bend slightly at the waist and bring the stock closer to your centerline, shrug your dominant shoulder slightly as if blocking a punch to the jaw and you should look something like this.

You may want a little more length still but try this first. There are recoil pads for the underbarrel grenade launchers that you can get to add a little length as well.

Speaking from personal experience solely, in general when shooting real rifles; having a stock thats "too short" is far better than "too long"...if you can bump your length up without going too far then you get better recoil control etc but if its too long it forces you into goofy stances and makes general weapon handling awkward (especially when wearing more than a tshirt). Recoil control in airsoft isnt exactly a concern so I wouldnt worry about that so much obviously.
