My question is, does the Hi-Capa have the same sized grip as the 1911, or is the grip area on the gun wider to compensate for the double stacking magazine?

Just wondering

Gord
A standard STI/SVI polymer grip is more square than a single stack 1911, however, depending on what grip panels are installed on the 1911, the 2011 can have the same grip circumference, despite the inner circumference of the 2011 magwell being larger than the 1911.

For airsoft, switching to something like the Tanio Koba Tactical Grip can bring the grip profile to be pretty damn close to a 1911.

The Tanio Koba grip will not accept any enlarged mag wells.

i finally picked up the "waffle cone" grip and some other goodies for my hicapa...
i was doing a test fit with my shooters design SHPD magwell....i'm disappointed to say that it doesn't quite fit with it....i had a small problem with the SPHD magwell with the stock grip but it was easily fixed with some sanding on the bottom,
however, it seems that the hole on the bottom of the TK grip is a bit higher than TM stock so i'm not sure how to fix that........anyone know a solution?? i will take some picture tomorrow....

You're trying to put a magwell on the TK grip? as far as I know, that doesn't work at all

it's actually black....it's the flash that makes the very slight color difference more obvious...
