SiG 552 Battery

So I got an ICS SIG 552 today, and my 8.4 mini just would not fit into the handguard after hours. I tried sanding the inside down, didn't work. Every possible configuration of battery/wire placement. Hell, I even tried tape. I ended up using a dremel to widen one of the existing holes so that I could thread the wire out of it. Taped the battery to the outside. Bottom line, I don't want to tape my battery/get a fake PEQ box. What are my options. I heard options about custom batteries?

Remove the battery holder that attaches tongue outter barrel fixture. I fit a 1600 mah nihm @ 10.8v in there.

Ummm. What battery holder? I heard the TM has some kind of battery tray, but if the SiG has one, I don't see it.

make sure the wires are in the track and place the battery end in to the front of the hand guard and the top of the battery to the back... i was having troubles with mine but now I get it in within seconds... i can make pics available.

the custom sig batteries are modded 9.6V's and you have to modify the battery holder in the grip to make them fit too...

I've tried any placement of it by now. Actually, it'd be really helpful if pics were availible.

Im sorry but my explanation was backwards... here's the pics for battery placement;

This is the battery holder

The battery attached to the connector

battery cables tucked in

battery fit in the battery holder

fitting the upper hand guard on with battery in the gun

the final look... battery in and it only took seconds

I hope this helps!

I'm a bit confused...what model is your SIG? The inside doesn't even look the same as mine.

...lost for words...

...and you didn't get a manual or any instructions on how to get the battery in there?

that thing looks screwy... I'll check around and if I find a solution I'll edit this post and share...

http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-ICS-SIG-52.htm <-- read down the page looks like you have to use an 8.4V stick battery

A twin stick battery might fit there. It looks similar to an M4 handguard.

Wierd. I used my 8.4 Mini, it fired. Wait, do AEGs fire with any kind of battery as long as it connects?

yes as long as the battery can supply enough power for the motor to move the gears to pull the spring...
