New KWC Desert Eagle mags wont cycle

Seems like Im having nothing but problems with my latest shipment of goodies. So I ordered some KWC 40 round extended Desert Eagle mags. Now the mags seem to fit nicely and look great BUT they are putting pressure on something and I cant seem to find where! Because of this when I pull the trigger it will fire a BB but the pressure is stopping the Slide from going back.

The way I can describe it is when I put in one of my standard mags and tug the slide ever so slightly it will go back with relative ease until the nozzle needs more force to get pulled.
While the Extended mag has resistance when giving it that small initial tug. Ive tried scribbling chalk on the top of the mag to see where its rubbing but nothing seems to be showing.

The only thing that I noticed which seems to be different from the standard mag is the nozzle area of the mag appears to be a hair higher.

Any ideas? Ive been fighting to get these mags working all evening :banghead:

One thing is it could not be releasing enough gas to cycle properly, but it could also be that the gasket area of the extended mag sits a bit higher so it adds resistance on the nozzle when it tries to cycle.

Yeah I dont think its that its not giving enough gas since when I do pull the trigger it shoots the bb out with quite a punch. And in fact the slide does move about .5cm back. My only problem is how can the gasket cause that initial resistant I was talking about with the slide, because in that space where the slide will move Bout 1.5cm back before the nozzle follows. So I don't see how a gasket can cause that initial slide resistance.
will post pics of what I mean later

Hmmmm that is weird. And this problem is just with the new mags?

Does the slide move back when you pull it? Or is it just getting caught when you fire?

Yea its only the new mags, Yes I can pull the slide but I can feel more resistance initially and then it goes away an, the mag will, feed and infact shoot. BUT seems like the mag is causing some friction somewhere where its stopping it the slide from allowing the slide to go back.
So what I ment with the initial tug thing is we start with this:

And then I tug enough so that the back of the slide hits the hammer causing more resistance. Now that small room of movement is very smooth with stock mags, but in the extended ones there is a decent amount of resistance.

Hmmmm. It could also be the feed lips are bent, so that when you pull it back it causes resistance. Or it could be the gasket is so high up it is pushing on the nozzle. So what youre saying is that it will fire, but it wont blow back, and when you pull the slide back it has alot more resistance then the other mags? I would check the top pieces of the new mags and see if maybe they werent installed properly and are sticking out more then your old ones. But the feed lips could be grabbing the nozzle causing issues, i had that happen with my M9 once, it wouldnt blow back all the way and i just filled down the feed lips and smoothed them and it fixed it.

The only thing i can think of is the gasket on the mag is pushing up on the nozzle too much, I checked the spacing of the lip to the nozzle and it looked to be just fine. Although what i did notice was if I slid the slide close to the gasket and let go the nozzle would literally get stuck and stop the slide all together

As you can see here, while with my regular mags it would slide forward no matter what. AS you can see the nozzle is even bending the gasket, what could I do about it? File it down??

Sorry man I wasn't notified of your post! I would suggest filing the front of the feeding nozzle arm into more of a smooth shape, and also slowly filing the bottom of the feeding arm till it has less resistance

well after close examination that gasket is the problem not the arm! even if I were to file it down the gasket is completely rubbing on the bottom of the entire nozzle which in turn gives a lot of resistance. At this point my only question is how can I lower the gasket for that mag?

Yeah the gasket was the issue the whole time, it was installed wrong I assume. I'm not familiar with Kwc deagle mags but there should be a pin on the top part of the mag, and if you tap that out the feed lips and gasket will come out, try reseating the gasket lower and putting it back on

alrighty so I tried what you said and reseated the gasket. and It slightly helped but nowhere near comparable to the stock mags. Although as a test I removed the gasket all together and put the mag together and tried my little slide tug and there was zero resistance. So its 110% the gaskets fault. now the problem is how can I lower it even more? my only guess is to use very fine sand paper to the bottom of it

Yeah that looks like it could have to be it, hopefully it fixes it! These mags have put you through alot! I would suggest rinsing it off after with warm water and letting it dry so then you don't have to worry about plastic pieces ending up in your gun :-)
