First picture is to show the hop up adjustment ring inside the "chamber", and the second picture if of the integrated "trigger" lock for lack of better words. I hope that is what you were asking about.

sluggish performance could be a lack of proper lubrication or choice of gas usage as well as temperature. any gbb will feel sluggish in cooler temps or rainy weather for that matter. try changing any one of the three suggestions to see what suits your needs.
