TM M14 - M1 Conversion A la Cheapo.
Hey all,
So, as some of you may know, I've decided to try to convert my M14 (TM of course) to a Full wood/metal M1 Garand. I'll use this thread as an update to periodically let you all know how it's coming along. I would have put this in the Mods or Media folder, but when I'm done, I'll make a post there. I'd like to keep this one here, as it pertains specifically to WWII Airsoft. So... I bought: Brand New Unfinished Walnut Stock (Retail Value - $79.95) Front Hand Guard Unfinished Walnut (Retail Value - $29.95) Rear Hand Guard Unfinished Walnut (Retail Value - $29.95) Butt Plate Assembly (Retail Value - $29.95) Butt Plate Screw, Lower (Retail Value - $1.95) Butt Plate Screw, Upper (Retail Value - $2.95) Butt Swivel (Retail Value - $7.95) I found a SMOKIN deal and got this all for 120 Shipped from the states. I have totally dissasembled my M-14, it's core is now safely kept in my gun case. The stock should probably be here within the next couple days, at which point I will begin my mod. I'll be sure to keep lots of pics and lots of updates. Cheers. Billy.

So, the kit has arrived.
The only issue I can see myself having is fitting the AEG inside this wooden stock and making it all adaptable. The conversion to make it LOOK like a M1 would be easy. It's just the stock that I was really looking forward to. I'll update when I make progress.
