I agree that Brian has offer these types of scenarios and they are really good.
But when you're talking about restraints, you need professional training for it. There were some incidents before where it has gone bad. Now if you had a scenario where a person was resisting a restraint, you're going to have injuries happen. Another thing to look at is Use of Force. There are many ways to deal with a person and how this person responds. For example, the use of force continuum. s.130 CCC would not apply here as it is an airsoft simulation. But I don't think it should be a police-style loadout or that you have to use. I believe you should have a person who was in the LE field, working or retired and that was trained would help greatly on this. The reason is in the real world, LEO would lack training in managing a conflict where they would use excessive use of force. Now exceeding use of force can get you in trouble/sued, and SIU would be involved. The reason I referred to the Use of Force continuum is because it takes the right communication to deal with a person and de-escalate the conflict, rather than jumping to lethal force. Now paperwork; there is huge paper work that follow when you draw your weapon. Any weapon you draw out, you need to file paper work on why you took out your weapon. Then there is arrests reports where it can take pages. When you are not making an arrest and come to a call for a small situation, there is also pages of paper work you need to follow which is the General Occurance report. Dealing with witnesses, you're going to have to have witness statements made. There's basically paper work for everything. And then there is warrants where I won't get into.. Evidence, there's so much ways to deal with evidence and collecting evidence at a scene. Then if there's death and all, coroners involved.. Stuff like that is what LEO's need to follow. Sure they do make mistakes, that's where there's the court system.. lol |

Screw the cut and try simulation: North Hollywood style shootout set in Scarborough!
Which actually would be an interesting simulation if you had under armed, under armored constables initially engaged by a heavily armed and armored opposing force, maybe a couple with carbines and ceramics in their trunks, and waiting for tactical units to arrive after a set time limit. |

Cops are restricted to Semi auto, two robbers are restricted to full auto Some objective needs to be taken from the bank, brought to the safe house. Etc.. etc.. little details never panned out to bigger details, but I would LOVE to do something such as this! This all sounds pretty interesting though, worth a shot perhaps.

Glad to see there is an interest. I will be researching further to see what I can do to start getting the ball rolling. A lot of work behind this but I think it'll be worth it to make it work well. Going to talk to some of my police contacts as well to see if I can get some support from any officers involved. Maybe they can scrounge up some paper work for Shirley to do, haha. Also if anybody in the community knows people they think could help get this off the ground, any help would be greatly appreciated.

We can do it any Friday night you like at TTAC3 CQB tactical, would also be a good spot for a broader simulation

I recently moved from Ottawa to Toronto to go from one film school to another and while I've only used airsoft as props in the past, I'm curious about getting into the sport. Getting more experience actually USING the guns gives more experience in pretending to use them while cameras are rolling. Plus I already have most of the gear for a frontline constable uniform. I'd be interested in using this as an excuse to get my first GBB G17 and getting into it.

I find this all very interesting. I'd like to do something like that. I live on a farm and came up with s fun idea for a scenario for like 4 to 6 people. It's called manhunt. One person is an escaped convict from a correctional bus, he has orange coveralls on, 3 feet of chain attached to a 25 pound weight, and a pistol. The rest of the guys are sheriffs or federal agents, who only get pistols, shotguns, bolt action rifles or say ar15 limited to semi auto.
The fugitive has to evade, remove the chain(with bolt cutters) and get to his hideout where he is keeping more firepower(this is a building of his choice that no one knows about. For the fugitive, he will get to pick 1 of three random items(shotgun, spare mags for pistol, or hacksaw). The sheriff and agents job is to obviously catch him. Thoughts??
