Would the non-modified radio (http://www.px-airsoft.com/showroom/m...34574387011086) works with the real MSA Headset if I get a modified (military compatible) PTT?

AN/PRC-152 Replica

I work for a radio repairs company and i actually have one, despite the exterior the interior is completely another radio...The Chinglish manual is the worst I have ever come across- that's why it's appears to be a pig to set up. Once you get past the manual, setting up a channel is a breeze.

Radio inside is a BAOJIE BL-UV88 ( http://www.radiomart.biz/downloads/bj-uv88_user's_manual.pdf ).

Good choice to get a single radio build covering frequencies for different markets. However I would have chosen a radio version that included a Scrambler facility- it's more of a 'military' capability for a military style radio.

But overall its 200% better than the Prc148s

The headset's microphone will likely need to be replaced, not the radio or PTT.

I bougth a PTT that fixes the impedance problem last year:http://www.toysoldier.com.hk/product...ls.php?pid=482

It's was working with their version of the Prc148 and my sordin. I'm wondering if it's going to work with the TRI 152.

Well I guess you need to track someone down near who's got one. I'm a bit far away for you.

I was also wondering if it can use the antennas from the Ubited Star PRC 148?

Anyone come up with a ten cent programing guide on this yet?

I've read the manual repeatedly and just keep glazing over when I go to the touchpad.

I've read; they cut and pasted a lot of text into the manual I have.

Imagine you were going to tell a bunch of bored ten year olds how to program the channels; That's pretty well the level engagement we're looking at.

Just to expand, I have had it up and running and talking to other radios; just with the various options and mystical manual it would be interesting to know what to leave off and what to switch on.

I like how you summed that up..
But its not an easy radio to program. Even for me, which i work for a radio repair center. I had to spend a good few hours on if till i got a massive saved channel list.

i ended up getting one of these;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=201034933256

i got it so i could pull it apart and figure out how to make them, but unfortunately they dipped the entire unit in some form of waterproofing.

the parts work great, quick install (literally plug and play) and makes my quiet pro work with no impedance issues. the one issue i find is i had to short out pins A and E to disable to speaker when the headset is connected. I will make a quick and dirty programing guide when ever i get time.

I've just run all the TRI cables, PTT, and headsets and they've worked well enough for airsoft.

I'll have to find a day when I'm utterly bored and yet have razor sharp focus.

So where can I buy kenwood adapter for this TRI AN/PRC radio?

It fixes the pinout issues. NOT the impedence (which the TRI and United-Star both do internally if you have the right version).

The pins are different on repro headsets, so even if the plugs mate the mic and speaker (IIRC) are inversed.
