The best quick change spring design is the ares gearbox, because its actually quick change and you dont need to remove it from the gun, but by far the best gearbox with quick change is the retro arms gearbox, finicky to work with and expensive, but well made.

So far, I checked all the locals in Toronto, they are all sold out on this. Any suggestions where I may be able to get a vfc one or E&C shell?

Retro Arms.. very very well made and couple nice options. I dont get why that guy said its total garbage. Its the best box I have had so far. Its lifetime warranty too. I have abused it with a M160 at 600fps with no sign of wear.

I ended up going for an APS one. So far it has hold up pretty well. I can see why it only saves one or two steps at most but when dealing with a mosfet(in my case TITAN), it gives a piece of mind that you won't damage the mosfet by accident. Now that I have the experience with it, all I can say is that:
It helps if you are doing the tech work alone and having limited experience with closing the gearbox.

One interesting thing I ran into was that I use a SHS piston and piston head. somehow during testing it got unscrewed by itself so I had to go back to original part.

for future projects, quick spring change would be an awesome option and not mandatory.
