inner barrel upgrade 6.01 mm or 6.03 mm

Hello guys

I was thinking of upgrading my inner barrel.

I was looking at a PDI but a question came to mind.
Is it worth it to get a 6.01 mm or just get 6.03 mm?

This is to shot at 150 to 200 feet.

Thanks

I've heard that 6.03mm to 6.04mm is best for accuracy and range where 6.01mm is better for power.

Interesting

All the info I get from YouTube is that a 6.01 is more accurate...
But you guys say I will get more fps.. will I loose accuracy?

I have a friend with a 509mm EDGI tightbore (6.01) systema hopup, systema hopup bucking and SCS. his gun does not shoot any better than mine with a 407mm Prometheus tightbore prommy hopup, Soft rubber and SCS.

My Tanaka M700 with a custom EDGI 5.98mm Tightbore shoots better than either gun but that's 500 FPS, and the VSR-10 Hopup mod and the platform is not the same and it's bolt action.

I don't think my AEG would shoot as well with the 5.98 just because of the grime that builds up when you shoot.

I'm starting to tell people that if you want to improve your accuracy shoot in semi. For those of you with trigger masters and burst functions try this for yourself. Setup a target 150' away and shoot at it semi. Then switch to burst and you can notice immediately a huge difference in groupings. If you are a keener set your burst timer longer so you end up with 5+ round bursts. It just gets progressively worse.

Info from youtube is even less reliable than info from wikipedia lol
Anyway, If you want to go further into the physics of it, the diameter of your bore from 6.01-6.08 actually has NOTHING to do with your range or accuracy, the only difference between the bore size is your fps.
It's the CONSISTENCY of that bore that determines how accurate the barrel is.
Case and point; I've seen 4 HFC M190 and M199 beretta's (these are taiwanese I think, not terribly high quality, can't really get parts for them), with 6.08x120mm stock barrels at 310fps, shoot just as accurately as upgraded M4's with tightbores.
It's all about the consistency!

For AEG's its best to maintain a .08mm gap between bore and bb. Reaffirming what everyone is saying about barrels should be no lower then 6.03-04mm.

Good choice going for a 6.03 if you shoot 5.96mm bb's

I bought a 6.01mm because I use Bioval 5.94mm bb's, so that leaves the same tolerance as a 6.01 shooting 5.96 bb's, the accuracy is phenomenal.

I tried shooting some 5.96 bb's of the same weight, I noticed a bit of an fps change and a bit of an accuracy/consistency change, but the lower tolerance ended up affecting my long range accuracy, so I switched back to Biovals, it's working out great.

Edit: Fixed... 5.94mm
