ICS M4A1 with 'Colt' Trademarks.

Hi all.

I'm just wondering if anybody in Canada has come across an ICS Armalite with 'Colt' Trademarks to shed some light on them. I see them on the UNCompany website, but want feedback from somebody who has one in Canada. I commonly see the 'Olympic' trademark on the forums here but am curoius of the rarity to find a 'Colt' one as I am pretty stringent when it comes to Armalite rifle trademarks.

Thanks,

-ScoTT.

I had one. Sold it about a year ago. There was a batch of them that XP brough in back in 2006, before the big "fall". There are a few of them out there. I've had the OlyArms and standard ICS trades as well on some guns.

So they're quite rare in Canada I take it. Thanks for your input. Were they all pretty much identical in function? I have not owned an ICS personally.

Thanks,

-ScoTT.

I believe the ones with Colt trademarks were the very early versions.

So they won't be quite as good internally as the new ones.

As an alternative you may consider having Colt trademarks engraved onto the gun yourself, since the current trademarks are not engraved and can be covered.

No, those are the most current versions, 2006 to be exact. Steel bushings, M100 spring, Turbo 3000 motor.

i have one of the early ics m16 a3's with the olympic arms trades. came stock with nylon bushings and turbo 2000 motor. which have long since been changed out. i bought around march/april 2006.

the olympic arms trades are the rare ones to have/find. i cant remember who found the info for me but it was someone from these forums. in order for ics to have the rights to have the trades on the rifles ,,the product had to be inspected by olympic arms themselves. ics does not do this anymore which is why you see the colt markings.

Thanks for the help/ I just seem to notice more of the Olympic Arms trademarks in the USA. ie: http://www.airsoftsd.com/
And wanted to compare to here in Canada.
It seems that they are readily available in the USA though.

You used to be able to buy the ICS guns directly from Olympic Arms as well. The Colt trades are the newest ones, but I have seen some of the OlyArms as old as 2004. I've had a couple pass through my hands over the years, but the last one I got was with Colt trades in 2006.

I'm still in China, but I'll be back for a while... have a flight from Shanghai in the first week of June.

Will be back a few months at least.

Got married, though, so the length of her visa will depend on how long I stay in Canada.
