Kwa tt-33 out??

MY THOUGHTS ON THE KWA TT-33 AKA THE TOKAREV - YouTube

Hopefully revolution would be able to bring them in..
I am also looking forward to group order if anyone else firmly wants to cave it in!

Seems a little bit disappointing but as far as I know for the trigger thing you even get some of the RS's vertically wobbly, plus the slippery pistol grips, which is insanely common in all Eastern-European models.
This one more seems to replicate the Eastern-European model rather than the original Russian ones so I would in conclusion say don't fuss too much over the externals as long as it shoots well and we will be able to get one in our hands, then it is still worth the investment.

I'll probably give it a wait until they release the Makarov pistol, the other Russian pistol.

Yeah it's out. Some US stores are carrying them now.
That tokarov looks so 'plasticy'. Looks like a cheap springer knockoff.

Kwa included a safety function into the trigger, which causes problem if you tend to pull the lower portion of the trigger to fire the pistol. Imo this completely ruins the gun for me

No one yet has made the second-level hammer safety a successful story on any of the TT-33 replicas.
The baikal one turns out to be the best but it stinks that it only shoots Non-semi auto WTF!!~~

Kingsix and I are thinking modifying the trigger as a possibility.

Original RS trigger does not wobble that much, just a tiny bit. I handled tens of them, both TT-30 and TT-33, pre-war made and war made. Original RS don't have serials on top of the slide. And yeah - no recoil, cheap paint. Disappointing.

It will be interesting to see if the SRC tt-33 has the same or more problems,

I doubt you have the TT-30.
I'd be appreciated if you could post some pictures here

Comments to words in bold:
Totally untrue, depending the year and manufacturer those made directly by Tula arsenal have serial number engraved on the top, plus those earlier Chinese copies exclusively equipped during the Korean War.

Yeah the SRC one seems to be heftier in weight but the grip is obviously a fatal failure!
There is still a springer version made by a Korean made "Toystar" that directly replicates the earlier Hudson GBB.
I think I will cave all of them in.

I could post up some pics of an RS Izhmash TT-33 for you guys if you'd like.

Horilka: I'm with Sortie39 on this, I doubt you have a 30, and you'll definitely want to do more research before making broad statements along the times of "X weapons do/do not _________" especially when talking about Russian weapons that were stamped out by the thousands per hour/day, by factories and workshops ranging from sheds to massive industrial section of cities, by workers of varying skills.

Those genuine Russian-made TTs have detailed marks on the slide top and due to a large amount of the variants, I think that sort of confusion is quite acceptable.
BTW there is a huge difference between a player and a collector.
