TM Hi-Capa 4.3 Evolved: Infinicapa

I've held off on posting pics because it has been a work in progress for some time - I still consider it incomplete for lack of a Firefly bearing recoil rod and a PDI SVI-style trigger. However, with all of the recent Capa pics I thought this would be a good time for a photo debut.

I've been a huge fan of the Strayer Voight Infinity designs for quite some time. While the easiest thing to do would have been to purchase a Western Arms model, I really wanted to build something unique that still paid tribute to the Infinity firearms.

As evidenced by the various scratches, this is my workhorse and regularly used GBB. I chose the Freedom Art rail with comp for the way it secures the inner barrel and eliminates all wobble.

Parts breakdown:
Airsoft Surgeon Steel Hammer Set for Marui Hi-capa 4.3 / 5.1 (Type 3)
Firefly Nozzle Valve for Marui Hi-Capa Series
Freedom Art Long Railed Frame With Comp Set B for Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 (Silver)
Guarder Enhanced Loading Muzzle for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1
Guarder Hi-capa 5.1 Enhanced Recoil & Hammer Spring
Nine Ball Long Slim Slide Stop for Marui Hi-Capa ( Black )
Nine Ball Magazine Catch for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 (Silver, Short)
Nine Ball Spring-Plunger Set for Marui Hi-Capa
Nine Ball Wide Use Air Seal Chamber Packing
PDI 01 Precision Inner Barrel for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1
PDI Jaggy Trigger Type 2 for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 / 4.3 (Silver)
PDI Piston Head for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 / 4.3
Shooters Design 4.3 Inch Steel Outer Barrel For Marui Hi Capa 4.3
Shooters Design Hi-Cap SV / STI Grip for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 (Black)
Shooters Design Hot Shot Style Magwell for Marui Hi-Capa (Silver)
Shooters Design Steel Chamber (Infinity 45 ACP) For Marui Hi Capa 5.1 Government (Silver)
Shooters Design SV Infinity 2 Tone Metal Slide for Marui Hi-Capa 4.3

Thank you for viewing my post.

Thanks! I'd actually debated re: the bottom grip screws. STI uses them in each of their guns, but SVI tends not to with their double stack Infinity. I used this pic, this pic and this pic for reference regarding the checkered grips and hammer. The lack of lower grip screws is more evident in their newer style frames, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one made for the Marui Capa. A hybrid Infinity slide was equally impossible to track down.

Strayer-Voigt grips actually don't have those 2 screws at the bottom. Only STI uses it. Other than the grip screw positioning and the logos in the middle, there isn't any externally noticeable difference between the STI and SV grips. I noticed the same setup when I built my Infinity.

so they actually left them empty eh? Looks funny that way though...I guess they serve no real purpose on a 2011 anyhow....

btw, have you considered switching to fibre optic sight? I think for that color scheme it might look good...

Fibre optic sights... hrm... I've never really given it much though. But now that you mention it, a little red and/or green might work nicely. Or some tritium perhaps.

Any chance of that the outer barrel is attached to the comp?

Nope. It's attached to the mid-frame.
