Charger and battery problems

I bought a charger from someone at the BB bastard table today (my mind draws blanks on a name right now) and when i got home i read the instructions and i hooked it all up, plugged it in and the red and green light blinked as the instructions said it would, at which point the light stayed off instead of turning red as the instructions imply it's supposed to, i left it in for 1.5 hours as the instructions said and proceeded to hook the battery up to my gun, at which point nothing happened. I would GREATLY appreciate help on this matter.

My battery is a NI-MH 1.2V 1400mAh Intellect 1400 from 007 Airsoft

1.2V is per each cell, 1.2V x number of cells is your total battery voltage output, aka. 8.4V is seven 1.2V cells, 9.6V is eight cells, etc.

Contact Scarecrow regarding how to use it, he was mostly likely at his Bastard table today (as was Testtube from one pic I saw).
