m120 in vfc

i have a vfc scar-h and i have installed an M120 shs spring, i chrono'd the gun and was pushing 385 fps for the first tow attemps.then i noted it had incressd 402-416fps then to 380-390, using .25 bb's.
I was also using an 11.1 lipo.
I am just wondering if it was in the hot because it was new, and after firing 4000 bb's through it, that it may have balanced out to a nice 370-385 fps.
I have just ordered an m110 spring if the m120 spring is set on firing at 400+ fps.
thank you.

it should decrease as you break it in. if it is at 415ish brand new it will drop to 400 soon enough. just talk to your field owner where you play and ask if you can use it with an increased MED. if not you can fire the gun so that the piston is pulled back and the spring is compressed. leave it like that for a week or 2 then check fps. it should e better. you might have to do that repeatedly until you reach your desired fps. (400 im guessing)

i was always under the impression that an M120 spring would produceing an even 375-390 fps range?
shouldnt it?

usually a gun with a 120 should be over 400. your gun doesnt have the best compression then. if you use a 110 it should be around 375-390 brand new. my friends ak has a 100 in it and it shoots at 400 fps with it. it has great compression. id probably recommend a 110, im putting one in my vfc m16. it shoots 450 with a 120 spring. im a little surprised its shooting so low. get a 110 and modify the compression and you'll have a nice shooting gun.

Sounds like you dont have the best airseal on your gun .....

I have a vfc scar-h too, and it shoots around 380fps with a madbull m110!

I had my gearbox apart last night and the stock air seal nozzle is a piece of crap on my VFC M4. TONS of leak down with the piston compressed. I upgraded the internals to a Lonex piston and piston head, aluminium double o-ring cylinder head and an o-ring air seal nozzle. MASSIVE difference in air seal. I also threw an M120 spring in there and I'm hoping not to go way over on the chrono.

Ya, i noticed that there is a slight leak around the pistion and the cylinder when i tested the compresion, i have ordered a one peice cylinder and a m110 spring, hopefully this will get me where i want to be.
