What was your friend/gf/parent's reaction when you told them about airsoft?

Hey Guys,

It's been almost a year since CBSA Memorandum D19-13-2, which made BB guns above 366fps legal, I think it's about time to tell family and friends about it!

What did your friends/gf/parents say when you first told them or even showed them your "piece"?

Did they say,

"whoa, your piece is huge!" <that's what she said lol>

or "I wouldn't touch that if I was you"

or did they just freak out and ran away or even call the police?

What are your thoughts/stories?

The girlfriends dad said 'your a freak, man!'
And then he proceeded to have the time of his life shooting them!

And since then my girlfriend always tells me that her dad wants me to bring my guns when I come visit!

my friends all got into airsoft or want to get into airsoft when they have the money

my dad was always cool with it, he uses my canadian tire tri shot shotgun to chase the racoons away lol.
most of my friends have fun shootin or checkin out my guns.
my one buddy played once with my kraken and went out n spent 700 bucks on muticam and a m4 with m203 played once andbhad a baby so hasent played scince lol.
my gf at the time i started to play used to come n play and or take pics all the time.
most of my buddys would come play if they wernt so poor (i live/grew up in the ghetto)

My Dad was against it at first but my Mom let me... Then last year my dad went with me to Evike and purchased a AEG for the first time, he said it was actually cool as before he was against guns.

Now he wants to buy two Systemas...

I showed my girlfriend my airsoft stuff.

She looks sexy in marpat and mag carrier with her SCAR-H and doesn't mind me borrowing smoke grenades off of her.

Lucky for me I was born into a gun toting redneck family so they think its cool and use my guns whenever they can. Bonus my girl friend works for a web design firm that deals with the defence industry so she is a gun nut too.

Some friends: is that the thing with the guns? My wife: why do you get all the expensive hobbies. To which I replied, your expensive hobby is me babe. My rents also thought it was a waste of money, but My dad thinks the guns are cool.

We broke up because of other reasons (but we're still friends, just not compatible as boyfriend/girlfried).
