I agree^ That is lazy selling right there. It's just as bad as when people say PM or email for pics.
Why should I have to do that to get pictures of a gun? Is uploading photos to photobucket that hard? It literally takes me 2 minutes to upload pictures for my sales threads, and I tend to have at least 6 large pics per gun. It's also quite stupid when people list $400-500 guns and only have one or two lines of text to describe the whole gun. But thats their problem if it doesnt sell. |

I like sales threads that say their gun is "fully custom" when all they did was slap a few magpul things to a stock gun.

How about when people lay their entire airsoft collection on the floor, take a 15 megapixel picture, and simply list everything on their sales thread.

This may not be relevant, buying gear from the states, not trying to mention where *cough* *cough* opsgear, I had purchased a pair of flight gloves and a pair of solag Hd Kevlar gloves for a friend as well. Been planning to wearing it for both work and playing airsoft. Can't beat the full dexterity of flight gloves until I got a pair of discounted Oakley pilot gloves, but it has been 2 months and counting, I have not received it and they seem to have removed it from their catalog. Got those gloves from la police gear but shipping been hell.
I have been burned hard... Those discount codes what got me in this mess. If you can't get them then don't sell them is my pet peeve for this thread

New to me is gone as far as purchased, function tested, placed back in box, maybe handled a few times to show people. Like new is upgraded, modified perhaps, used two or three times but not enough to put any hard use on it, kept clean and undamaged. Signs of ware equals not new or like new, unless it's from basic handling or maybe you bumped it. If it's from functioning then it's been used enough to forego the like new out of it.

How about people who list a bunch of parts. Then say not parting out. That would be alright if the total package wasn't listed for over $200.
Then the complain when their stuff isn't selling. I just saw a thread listing a part out. Won't split the package at all. The kicker is that I could buy a brand new gun with internals and everything for the cost the guy is asking for the parts. |

Well, people can sell their shit for whatever they want it doesn't mean anyone is gonna buy it, or even that they should. Wondering why, or even complaining about why it isn't selling is stupid though.
Also people who claim they can buy what your selling for a lot less, even though they'd have to import it and find it all in stock, and then get mad when you won't drop the price. Buy it elsewhere then!

My pet peeves:
"Veterans" who complain about an influx of new people that are ruining their prestigious games -- "I don't play anymore because of it!" -- and then can't be bothered to offer their experience up. Come on, guys, do a training day or something or STFU. |

Honestly, I'd just start separating church and state on that one. They should just set out strict guidelines for game structure then, and you'll attract a better demographic. You may not end up with the numbers you want for a few years but it'll streamline in time. I've had this debate several times on here. Basically airsoft is anything that involves airsoft guns, but really when you seperate the groups up, they aren't really doing the same thing. If you want to have a WWII kind if game, put out appropriate kit restrictions, and then the sci-fi, LARP, Vietnam, clearsoft, speedball, modern warfare types won't show up. And of course vice-versa. Age restrictions as well if you want to maximize maturity, etc. Also if you're going to be that specialized, then get your own field or book the entire field on game days. At some point though you'll need to refill your ranks with fresh blood. Mentoring the next generations is paramount.

If you're in Alberta you already have access to some of the best airsoft in Canada. The issue you'll mostly run into is what I'd call "specialty groups". 80% of airsoft seems to be one variant or another of "modern warfare style". So here's the issue; most people consider that demographic to be the "except everyone" group. So if you're a part of a specialty group like Vietnam interest/reinactors, etc then that's great and all, as long as you have some numbers. If I went to a WWII game wearing a Halo outfit, Vietnam garb, or whatever I'd kind of feel like a goof. For some reason though people don't feel that way showing up to a modern warfare event dressed like Lara Croft or like they're about to invade Poland. I went to an event once that was about 150 strong. Everyone was dressed up for a modern warfare style event except one guy, whom was carrying a 4-5 foot broadsword. Really!? If you're are a part of a group that is that off the chain then you likely won't find enough like-minded players to play with. So you outsource to the mainstream stuff (modern warfare style), and invade their games. You wouldn't dream of dropping into a WWII game dressed like the Master Chief, so why is it okay to do it to a modern warfare game? So when these events start having gear requirements or kit restrictions they are called elitist assholes.
