Getting back into airsoft after losing a tooth and getting into cars haha. Heres my G&G GR16 R5. Nothing special just has a Echo 1 silencer and ACOG top sight. Need to upgrade some internals, top receiver and get a bipod and I'll be happy.

I'm seeing these nice REV handguards, and I hear that G&P bodies can exept real steel handguards. Is that true, or only true with certain handguards?

Fortis REV only needs a standard delta ring to mount.
G&P's always been a little been eff'd (possibly due to the thick paint/powdercoat they use) so all bets are off for other handguards.
If you can avoid it - stay well-away from G&P unless you're really digging their rail systems.

Truth of the matter is - their raw receivers are close to RS spec but the sheer thickness of the paint they uses means you're going to have grind most of the paint off before you have a good mating surface.

Can't you "just" sand blast the paint away to get the proper fit or does the threading becomes too small without the paint ?
