grenade newbie here
i enclosed pics of what i just got
i understand, not to your standards
but it would get by?
launchers are D-boys M203 on the M4
madbull XM203 on pistol
grenades, i have no clue
taller purple one is 8mm
silver/gold one is big dragon 120r 6mm
gold/green are unmarked 6mm
i read someplace online the paintball grenades are a good choice
versatile to fire paintballs or leave empty and use as a power souce to shoot baby powder or nerfs etc
i figured being new, start cheap and play with it like target shooting etc
was thinking propane to start
upgrade later
still need to get the propane adaptor, silicone and paintball grenades
am i ok as a start?

Aww, I totally set you up for it, buddy, heh...
Those XM203s would be great on my Scar. Maybe one on each side and the bottom, lol!

i was gonna put an xm203 on each side of my M4 with the m203 below
then realized, it costs less to buy an agm that shoots 6 grenades
lol

If you don't mind replacing the o-rings after every use, run co2 through a propane grenade. My buddy did it just to see what would happen. Blew right through the canvass on his camper 45' away and left little dents all down the side where it's metal! Oh and the test dummy standing there to be shot in the back dropped to his knees from the shot. lol! That'll give you the range but seriously don't shoot anyone up close, scare tactic only.

Well...you should get out a little more often then...

Most madbulls are made for CO2.

They even recommend using CO2 for best results.

My advice?

For average skirmishes/light mil-skirm.. an even 1/2 dozen rounds, max, should do fine.

I've had a standalone, single-shot grenade launcher in the past - just wasn't worth the weight to carry vs opportunity to fire at optimal target factor (based upon a SCAR EGLM standalone frame). It got traded for something that was marginally less useless to me.

I do have an ICS based M4A1 with barrel mount M203 long.. it is a relatively heavy weapon to be lugging around the briar-patch. It's more of an attractive wall hanger than anything.

Don't get me wrong, the M203's are fun as hell to trigger off .. i've just found that there isn't all that much opportunity to effectively use them (I haven't gone to a field where 'room clearing' is a necessity.. where their forte may be at).

When i do field it (outdoor field), I've found that carrying 4 shells is adequate.

I use two paintball grenade shells, and had 2 conventional KA 120rnd shells (traded the KA shells off - need to get two replacements eventually).

i'm helping out some guys with their mini movie
i let them use my guns
the paintball grenade would be used there mainly

There's a lot of co2 grenades out there, I was just telling a funny story about the co2 through a propane grenade, I don't recommend doing it as I'm sure at some point it'll do more damage than just blowing o-rings. Also it fires way too hard to use against someone unless really far away. Was funny as shit when we did it though!
