The quality control is not very good, and the consistency is horrible. Go to classic airsoft and try and get in contact with monsterairsoft he makes gas systems for the vsr.

Hey Bean, Could you direct me to somewhere that you gathered this info from? Or have you used it yourself. I wouldn't mind finding out the validity of that sort of review for myself. To just say that the consisitancy is crap and leave it at that really tells me nothing. I like Info, can you help me out?

I got one as a test for a project that never went. I ended up giving it away to a guy who worked on it to make it an external bolt. Hop on www.classicairsoft.net and give it a search I know there was a thread of very unhappy customers. Metal shavings and such on the inside

Hi, nice gun. I have a few questions. Is it necessary to upgrade the cylinder to use a longer barrel, or does the stock work? Did you try the trigger pull with the pss150 before you installed the Zero-trigger? If so, how was the stock trigger pull? How far does the TBB pass beyond the outer barrel? Is that the stock outer barrel?

thank you for your time,

1) no you can use the stock cylinder. Although I have heard a few clones had cylinder breaks.
2) I did not try the stock trigger box with the upgraded spring because it would have broke within a few shots. The zero trigger makes the trigger easy to use but also has super upgraded sears.
3) The longer barrel went through my silencer adapter and into a silencer. i had to remove an oring to get it into one of them.
4)The extended barrel went out a couple of inches and yes its the stock outer barrel but the silencer is that same outer diameter making it look longer.

Any time the two guns I regret selling since I got back into airsoft was the marushin m500 and the tm vsr. Dont get me started on the other guns I sold the first time around into airsoft.

American Retailers?

Just out of curiousity did anyone happen to find an American retailer for the majority of these products? I've been searching for a retailer for quite some time, and I've found some of the parts scattered around the internet, but nothing like uncompany.com.

Very good looking gun Bean, the barrel makes it look very intimidating.

I see you (bean) got the 555mm barrel. Do you know the g-spec's standard suppressor length? I am trying to fit a pdi 6.01 554mm in there.

I do not i am sorry. When i put the longer barrel into my gun it stuck out like three inches. Something tells me that the g spec is longer then the stock real shock.

The sears are the main components of the trigger mech. The two sears you're interested in are the trigger and piston sear. These are sometimes listed as the 1st and 2nd sear on some sites. Look up "vsr sear" on just about any retailer (WGC need not apply since a space is a character for their search engine) and you'll find what you're looking for.

When comparing my G-Spec with the original silencer versus a Real Shock/Pro Sniper, it is indeed longer but not by much. Memory tells me it's less than an inch. That being said, the G-Spec silencer is kinda wimpy when it comes to actually reducing sound signature so getting a silencer adapter and a new silencer would be recommended if you're putting any kind of extended barrel in the gun. Also note that you will have to drill out the muzzle to get an extended barrel to go through.

Edit: After re-reading the question: The 430mm inner comes within two inches of the end of the regular G-Spec silencer so a 555mm barrel is going to require an extension.
