1 double post.....please don't do that.

2. Gear Boxes and Barrels are two different things. Yes Lonex gearboxes are very well built. But a Barrel isn't a gear box

#1. I don't know who you think you are but I will heed that advice anyway in the future.

#2. Yes that was a typo. I meant gearbox instead of barrel. I typed that at 6am, literally right before bed.

#3. I doubt she was talking about you there.

1. He's someone who's been here longer than you and knows a lot more than you do. His response was polite, don't make a problem of it.

2. Is Lonex better than a stock GB? Depends on the stock gearbox, their qualities vary from complete trash to "OMFG" fantastic. In terms of Socom Gear, oh god yes, they're so much better.

3. In the immortal words of the Grand Battle-Mage Dr. Dre "Bitches aint shit but hoes and tricks".

3-A. Real answer: If you consider a full length M16 long, then yes, it's a long weapon. there are longer rifles though. To me, it's a good size, 20 inch barrel.

I'm painting a fiends Sr25 in Aor2 for him, that's a pretty long rifle, with the suppressor on. Still certainly manageable

My Socom gear M4 had a stock VFC gearbox inside. The Daniel Defense and Noveske series have VFC mechboxes and madbull externals.

While the stock vfc box aint bad, the performance of the lonex unit is simply amazing. The trigger response and ROF of it paired with a Lonex A2 is nothing short of stunning with a meager 7.4v lipo, shooting 330fps. You need to set up the aeo first though, so not exactly a drop in device.

Also take it easy man, people in this forum are very friendly. No need to start any drama here when everyone just wants to help.

Cool. I will wait till my gearbox goes lights out before either upgrading individual gearbox components or going with a drop in lonex. But then again, at $200 per pop, might even make more sense getting a new AEG at that point, taking the gearbox and selling external parts.

Actually, he was the one who started with the smart talk and 'pulling rank' on an internet forum, not me. Responding in kind is not starting something.

It's almost as if you did something you weren't supposed to and he responded with a reminder not to!

Took over three months to get due to a back log of orders @ Rock River Arms, but I finally got my mid length handguards for my WE GBBR ongoing project.
They have a narrower profile (like full size A2) compared to the Cavalry Arms handguards (oval like M4).

That looks good man! I much prefer round to oval. Oval just doesn't point right

Thanks & I agree.
Round rocks whether it be carbine, mid or rifle length.
