Just got my hands on Comtac III. Unfortunately there is an impedance mismatch... Or maybe I'm doing something wrong (if there's anything to do wrong)?

Model: MT17H682FB-19 CY, Type: 88079-00000. A dual comm.

On another (receiving) radio you can barely hear what I'm saying.

"91.5" is not a valid floating point value

all the CTCSS frequencies are in but, they can't be transfere in the radio...

next question, I have buy this radio used, and the U plug is unwired from the integrated circuit..... somebody can help me ? with a photo would be perfect !

thanks a lot at all !

Sounds like a programming error in the software. Did you try with 91,5 instead?

I've tried with the others too... but means that the CTCSS are unfortunaly not compatible with the PRC

only the principal frequencies... that's not bad finaly...

and for the other question ? somebody ?

if everything would be ok, then it would be my dream come true :-)
They work with mine, as well as my Comtac II's and Lib II's

Well, then it looks like there's two possibilities:
- one can exchange the mic (e.g. Z-tactical) or
- one can exchange the PTT to one that matches the different impedances together.

I think the guys that don't have any problems with PRC-148 and their Comtac working together may have a different type of PTT.

Anyway I bought the Z-Tactical mic - hope it will work this time.

BTW my Thales broadband antenna has arrived :-)

Hey guys. New to the forum since this is the only forum with a community talking about this radio. I can't seem to change any option/setting that's listed as "It can not set under the clear channel mode." in the manual. Anyone know how to disable "clear channel mode"? And does everyones battery indicator not work? I've been using mine and it always showed as full until the battery just died.

I've got a Peltor PTT and impedance mismatch. I thought rather there were different types of PTT (with 6pin plug) that may have different electronics inside and work together well with low impedance radios.

in my case US Radio+ComtacIII+MSA PTT (like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSA-Peltor-P...item35c0985b22 but with coiled cable) all work fine

What are your impressions compared with a replica?
how it is functioning?

Hi all!
Hope to finally find a solution to my problem! It's making me crazy/furious!
I bought my MBITR at Ebairsoft last May , guess it's a gen.2.
The radio works , but not with the PTT.When you push sideways the switch , the comms don't open.
I had 2 of them , both from PX Airsoft.
I thought it was a PTT issue , so i ask info to the shop. They say they test every unit before shipping, so maybe it's a radio issue.
They send me 3 different cable layout for the 6pin plug , based on 3 different radio versions they have.

1) A red , B copper , C black , D white
2) A blue , B green , C yellow , D red
3) A red , B brown , C black , D white

Obviously , my layout is
A---red
B---green
C---black
D---white

Did you ever open the radio?I would like to check if everything is ok inside.Deeply inside...
I had unscrewed a lot of screws , but nothing!

The PTTs are the two TEA replica , the old one and the new e-switch.
Did anyone use them , or have a photo on the inside , just to know if mine are right connected?
