Everything that I don't like about the M14 is fixed with this gun, wow! Btw, how does the stock feel? It looks a bit weak for quick shouldering.

I don't think the stock will have any problems with loads on it. It doesn't have a tight fit with the rods but it lease it doesn't bind when I extend the stock. Something that the TGS version have been known to do.

The EBR without bipod and battery comes in at 13 lbs right now. Seems like all of the weight is resting on my left arm.

Changing the special battery for it would require one to disassemble the top section and do the quick takedown of the receiver from the bottom stock. Not too practical in the field which is why I went for the AN/PEQ-2 setup.

Shit, Bruce. You always have to outdo the rest of us, eh?

Sweet, sweet gun. Looks beautiful man, congrats. I hope you'll be killing me with it soon!

Sweet man but some how loses the apeal of the original. Seriously though find some way to get weight in the but stock and it should level out a bit. My S system is front heavy due to all the metal and the bat pack but the metal but stock levels it out a bit. Still kinda heavy though. Have fun with that bitch man.

Cheers

I received my mechbox parts today and will try to install them this week. But first, I'll need to search as much info on how to take apart the M14 mechbox.

The parts received are:
- KM 6.04mm TN Inner Barrel for M14 500mm
- Prometheus Non-Liner Spring MS110
- Prometheus Hard Piston for Marui Ver.7 Gearbox
- Prometheus POM Piston Head
- Prometheus Double Torque Hard Gear Set for Marui Ver.7 Gearbox
- Prometheus Aero Cylinder Head Ver. 7
- Prometheus Sealing Nozzle for M14 Series
- Prometheus Hard Reversal Stop Latch for Ver.7
- Systema Oiless Metal Bushing for All
- Guarder Ball Bearings Spring Guide for Ver.7 Gearbox
- Guarder Cylinder for Marui M14

Stuff to order:
- Looking for a place to buy the TangoDown Advanced Combat Bipod (ACB-4)
- The rail to attach on the back of the receiver for the rear scope mount. Kind of forgot about that item.
- Lots of locaps

If anyone knows of a place that sells the bipod and can ship to Canada, it would be appreciated if you could help me out. I've looked already and I can't seem to find one. TangoDown uses a special system for credit cards that I don't have access to.

Le Baron sells Harris bipods and they have a few styles to choose from. There is a store in Montreal, you can get the address from the Yellow Page.
I got my Harris bipod from Le Baron two years ago...hope this help.

bruce if you open up your M14, make sure you set the gun to auto otherwise you can break the plastic selector lever. Also don't pull too hard otherwise you can damage the wiring, you have about 3-5 cm of slack.
