Never had a original, this is a scratch build all but the gearbox. I assumed some incompatibility but not this much.
Thanks though, I will definitely try that. Spacing the delta ring farther forward would most likely resolve the mag issue too because it was pretty difficult getting the upper on so I think there might be a bit too much pressure on the hop up and nozzle. I guess I could just name the parts I'm using.... |

I've also had issues where the outer barrel sits too far back in the upper receiver. If you look inside the upper from the bottom, the outer barrel should be flush with the front "wall" of the upper. If it's sticking into the receiver 1-2mm too far it won't line up with the mag properly & you'll have issues with the lower & upper mating properly as well as the mechbox sits against the hop-up wich sits against the face of the outer barrel.

Alright guys, thanks so much for all the sugestions, I have repaired both issues.
So the Delta ring was too close to the upper and the inner barrel was as well. Solution: I took a key ring, yes, a key ring. Cut it with linemans pliers so I have 2 almost complete circles that were the perfect size for spacers. I used the rings because I considered the labour and materials and this was my best option. I put one between the outer barrel and the upper and then one between the outer barrel and the delta ring. The result: IMG_1214.JPG IMG_1215.JPG And since it seems like I wasted a thread with something that could have been thought out a bit more carefully, here is a buddy that decided to grow a beard thinking it would help the leafs........afghan style PIC-0054.jpg |
