I had the same gun when echo 1 put this out. This gun was made by vfc but it had the echo 1 stamp on it. Vfc just re-released it with their name in it. There is no warble to this gun except for a bit in the collapsable stock. I didn't think this was made of pot metal what do ever and mine was banged around quite a but with 0 problems.
The original hop up system that. Some in mine was flawed. The small arm where the nub sat under wasn't long enough and made the hop up useless. Getting a new hop up solved the problem and it rocked. The split mech box, similar to the ICS brands is great. Makes for a fairly easy spring swap. I had a fukin nightmare of a time with the trigger contacts in this gun. I put about 8k rounds through it and fries the first set using 11.1 1300mah 20c lipo. I quickly went through 2 more in about 10min after installing. I put in an inline MOSFET and sondar no problems. The gun is very lightweight and looks badass. I am getting the buffer tube stock mod for Mine as I can't stand a peq box. Overall I give this gun 8/10. This gun was put out at 600$ or so by echo 1. This gun is now in the 400$ range by vfc. I recommend it. |

Hey what batteries are you guys using in the xcr? I rather not use a peq box and I don't know how much space is inside the receiver area. Would it fit a 9.6 nimh (approx 230mm)?

the only battery that i know of that will fit "inside" the xcr in the little chamber is the socom gear one specially made for it. However they are a rediculous price of like 69$ a battery or some shit and they are only 1000mah.
Your best bet if to get the buffer tube mod and go with a buffer tube style battery. it takes away from the collapsable stock etc but really who uses it anyway? |

That will fit in the upper, you will have to make sure everything lines up otherwise the bolt will chew it up/not work |

I run both firefox 11.1 and 7.4 v AK stick battery and they fit no problem. I did have to shorten the wires a little bit when changing the connectors to dean. There was some bunching of the wiring when pulling the bolt all the way back, but there is no need to pull it all the way back to adjust the hop up

I use Firefox 11.1V AK Stick battery from http://airsoftgear.ca/store/index.ph...roducts_id=352
The 7.4V one I use is the exact same length with the 11.1V, its just a bit skinnier. The 7.4V was purchased from ehobby Make sure its an AK stick battery and you shouldn't have a problem. Last edited by hoot.; May 28th, 2012 at 19:50.. |
