Question for the admins

We should offer positive direction when those kinds of questions are brought up. There's no need to be so harsh, as these guys DO NOT KNOW BETTER! They see the price of the clearsoft versus the ridiculous prices of even used proper AEG's, and they ask about it.

Don't hate them, help them! Explain, in a KIND AND RESPECTFUL MANNER, why the clearsoft they are considering buying is so much cheaper and why it is best to empty your wallet on something better.

This site contains a few elitist chairsofting assholes who will NOT be helpful in answering your questions. Actually, you'll leave here feeling dirty that you even considered playing airsoft and helping the much needed growth of this sport in Canada.

I used IPB as my forum for a few good years and there were an absolute ton of mods to add to the forum. One of which was an auto PM which like DC said.. basically sends out a pm to all new registrants. It took only a few minutes to setup and you've got all the freedom of customizing what you put in the message. So why not welcome them, point out a few quick links such as the FAQ and then let them go on. Guaranteed some of the serious people will take their time to read even a few threads before posting. I wouldn't fill the message with a ton of stuff, don't need to get overloaded right away.. but something to direct people to the basics.

I haven't searched for such a mod/add-on yet for vbulletin but im sure its out there.

I Remember way back in 2003 when i first found out about airsoft, i lurched this site for a good 2 years before i started posting, and thanks to one person i talked to (duffman) he was patient with me, and convinced me that crapsoft was NOT the way to go, it took him 15 minutes to send me a few pics of his old ICS m4, and i was convinced.

my point, 15 minutes changed my mind from spending 125 bucks to around 900$.

Duffman DIDN'T tell you what he does to new guys that he "helped" on the forums. In his mind you OWE him now. Like reacharound kinda owe...
