KWA HK45 + RA Tech Steel Slide Kit

This won't be as nice as the e-Luder's TM HK45 thread...

Airsoft is more about shiny object for me nowadays, and I guess having seen more of these newer HK on TV/movies(John Wick was pretty sweet for HK commercial) means I kinda want one.....

As to why going KSC/KWA instead of TM, I always liked their USP anyway, so I figure I stick with that. RA-Tech makes a pretty sweet steel slide kit too...

HK45 vs USP, the ergonomic is much better IMO. The grip is more of a comfortable size(I am using the M back strap too).

With their threaded barrel, which they made in 16mm+ thread as opposed to their TM version 14mm- thread. KSC's USP Tactical and MK23 has the same thread in the past.

My experience with steel slide on the older TM Glock is that you can make them cycle but not that great. Needs a heavy spring to make it snappy and they have horrid gas mileage. I get maybe 40-50 rounds with 1 gas charge and usually you can't get any locking back on empty. Well this one has been pretty interesting, when I first shot it seems to cycle alright. But recoil spring seems to be on the light side. I have some spare Hi-Capa spring around(I think its either Guarder or Airsoft Surgeon) so I use that, cut it to length, drilled out the plastic bushing/buffer thing that the gun came with to fit the larger spring diameter and made a seperate Aluminum piece to make sure the collapse recoil guide assembly bottoms on the buffer as opposed to the bottomed out spring(spring length is cut short also).

This seem to make it return much more readily with a satisfying clank.

Shoots alright too.

Normal outer barrel

With a King Arms mock MK23 can

Both at room temp, with fresh mag, fully loaded at 29 rounds.

Well I was pretty impressed with this altogether. If I get a new airsoft thingy once a year and they are all this nice I guess I can keep chairsofting a bit longer...

Only wish, I hope someone makes some aftermarket night sights for this. TM now has Gunsmodify and Nine-Ball stuff, the stock KSC/KWA doesn't have any to choose from. Unlike their Glock also I you can't use RS sights neither(I've tried on the USP, was a messy experience).

You really need 600 lumens on toys??
lol.

That's a lot of recoil for one arm. Dang that kick looks hard.

Its a huge departure from USP which always feels kinda bulky...

I don't think it's THAT far a departure.

The USP is more streamlined. But I believe they changed the grip angle on the HK45 for a better suite on "universal" hand sizes.

I still find that they both have nearly the same bore axis. But I think they lowered the axis on the HK45 by a tiny bit. I don't really think they changed much in trigger mechanics too. The SD/DA feels the same from what I hear. (We're talking RS here, people)

I think what's really different is the ergos... Hand controls seem to be very drawn out on the HK45 than the USP making it more accessible....

For airsoft though, I hope that the Marui version doesn't come with the KWA Trigger problems and safety problems. It was a huge killer for me and was why I had to send my KWA packing....

The thing for me always for the USP is for a double stack its very wide, I never feel my hand wraps around it properly. The HK45 does. The bore axis is definitely still on the high side, Glock, M&P, Walther, and 1911s are still much more "pointable" I think I want to try a VP9 since it looks like its pretty big difference to the normal H&K recipe.

MY KSC USP Tactical's safety doesn't work anymore. Still decocks but, just not put the pistol on safe.
