MOE handguards and Magpul CTR and ACS stocks

My apologies if this has already been touched on; my search function doesn't work on my phone so I can't search the forums.

I am looking to modify my M4 slightly. Its a WE M4 AEG and I was thinking about doing a MOE hand guard with either a CTR or ACS stock, just gonna run a micro t-1 for optics. Wants aside, I need to know a couple things regarding battery storage in the MOE hand guard as well as both stock types. I know the CTR pretty much only fits a 7.4 lipo in the buffer tube, but I'm curious how much more the ACS offers. I'm also curious what I could fit in the hand guard as currently my M4 is front wired. Rear wiring is always an option, but if I'll be able to fit some 20C 11.1s in the front I'll just leave it front wired.

Anyone with a take on this please just let me know.

Thankya kindly,

Ripper

Hey Zack,

I think the 11.1v Genace from airsoftstore would fit the CTR stock no problem.

Any length can technically fit into the buffer tube as you can extend the stock to give yourself more room at the cost of actually being able to adjust the stock. Also for the moe handguards I use to run a 9.6v mini brick in it, just to give an example on how much room you got there was also still some wiggle room left.

The Magpul PTS ACS can be modified to hold a 9.6v 1600mah nunchuck battery. I'm nearly finished modifying mine and I’ll tell you now it isn’t very easy, but it is certainly possible. If you’re interested I can post up a basic tutorial with some pictures to show how I went about doing it.

The only dilemma with modifying the ACS is deciding whether you want to mess around with a (compared to many other stocks out there) fairly expensive stock or not. If you’re not too confident with your sanding and dremaling skills then I would just stick with a buffer tube Lipo.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm kinda anti-establishment so I never use any Magpul stuff, thus I'm Magpul retarded. I'm going with the MOE hand guard and stock in dark earth. My rifle is front wired already so I think I'll be alright for battery space. No sense in rear wiring something that doesn't need to be.
