AK Hop-up units
Hey all,
I'm currently working on an AK build and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Pro-Win AK hop-up chambers. I'm looking for a new one as the stock CYMA hop-up unit is damaged and need to switch it out. Other units I've been looking into are the Echo1 Max AK Hop up and the King Arms AK Hop-up Unit. Any information on these units would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting a lot of conflicting information about the Pro-Win chamber. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Tristan Wong

Prowin chambers are good, but their manufacturing process isn't always consistent. I've owned 3, 2 were great, but the other had to be cleaned up a bit because it had excess aluminum on it.
With regards to the King Arms and Echo1, both are good, but I would recommend the Echo1 over the King Arms as it's CNC aluminum instead of plastic. I'm not sure, but I think the Echo1 is actually a rebranded 5KU CNC hop up at a jacked up price. Echo1 is kind of a jerk face company, because they just take Chinese made products, make sure they put them through their own quality control and sell them at a higher price...sometimes significantly higher if we're talking AEGs. But, back to business, Echo1 and King Arms hop up are both good and will both hold up. You can also look in the 5KU and SHS CNC'd hop ups too because they're all good. SHS is about as good as you can get in my book, but you'll need all the parts from a donor hop up as it only comes with the chamber. Hope that helps |
