Jing Gong Scorpion Vz61 not working?
Hello,
I bought this piece about a month ago and hadn't had a chance to try it until tonight; I don't know much about airsoft anymore or how to fix problems like these. Something in the handle seems very loose, there is a fuse in there but I can't tell if it's broken. When charging the battery, it does not get hot (it is in correctly) and the charger does get hot. It is also in the gun correctly. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you |

Dead battery? Throw out that crap charger and get a smart charger.

Dead battery as in its drained or it just doesn't work?
I don't know much about airsoft, I only got this as a display piece but in the event I need some money and have to sell it I'd like it to work. |

if the battery is infact fully charged... with the grip cap off push up on the battery and try firing it... I had one recently go past my bench that I had to put a piece of foam on the grip cap as the contacts for the battery had lossened up some.. and wouldn't fire unless the battery was pushed up just a bit.

Thank you for your response Reckless.
I tried what you had said and that doesn't seem to be the case either. I fear an electrical component is broken. Perhaps the battery is a dud? When I charged batteries for airsoft guns years ago (when I was really into buying/collecting) they got pretty hot, that was with standard chargers and nicer chargers. This battery stays room temp Last edited by Eul0gy; March 5th, 2012 at 09:40.. |

Have you tried other batteries? The one you're using right now may be a dud, like you said.
If you hear rattling in the bolt, there's 'prolly something loose. Check an exploded diagram online to see if there's anything that's supposed to be there. If so, that's probably it. If not, something's gotten inside.
