Think about it. The mask covers your entire face, including your cheeks. It's made of hard plastic that sits a couple of cm or more from your face because of the padding. How do you plan to make a solid cheek weld and get your eyes looking down your sights without contorting your hear in an awkward angle.

Depends where you play.. for CQB in abandoned medical facilities in the dead of night... helmets are pretty important.
