Being an airsoft sniper

I myself have just entered the fabulous world of airsoft sniping after many years of research and waiting for the good time. As we all know, sniping in airsoft isnt like in the movies (fuck you Tom Berrenger). I just found a good link to (interestingly) a WikiHow about being an airsoft sniper.

Here it is : http://www.wikihow.com/Be-an-Airsoft-Sniper

I think it's a must read to anyone wanting to become a sniper. Not only does it cover the usual 'Airsoft sniping isnt like CS'' but it also covers several important aspects that doesnt get much press : psychological factor, awareness, visualisation etc.

From an initial scan through of it it seems like there's a slight "chairsofter" feel to the article but overall it's a good guide and should probably be recommended to anyone wanting some baseline info and doing some initial pre reading before they jump into it.

PS: Thanks for the link it's probably going to help me when I eventually do get into the sniper role.

Pff, this is all wrong!

Requirements to be an airsoft sn1p3r.

1. 14 years of age or younger.
2. max prestige on CODMW2.
3. Have trolled/been flamed by ASC more than twice.
4. More "Mature*" than your fellow underage peers.
6. Super 9 or shitsoft equivalent airsoft rifle.

*- Must be self proclaimed.

Jokes aside, this is pretty good. Kinda wish I read this before making my first purchase. Haha. That was years ago though.

With enough practice and skill, one can play the sniper role just like one does in video games, even in urban areas.

Only advice I could offer after my first year of playing the sniper role is consistency. Every thing else is relatively simple to deal with after that. If you know how every shot will act its alot easier to do things.

Attending a sniper clinic is the best way to get going quickly in that role.
Unless you want to spend a couple of years of trial and error.

You learn a alot more effectively through a couple of years of trial and error

I don't know alot about how the sniper courses work, but from the feedback that I hear; they're teaching quality stuff, and it will benefit you as a sniper, it'll also give you an idea of what sniping is like.

You can also use your rifle in CQB, and to assault riflemen!
Although with a silent rifle, the only thing that gives away your position in CQB when shooting people is that damn "HEADSHOT" sound....

Lol, yup, seen where my rifle would have come in handy at indoor stuff.
