CA M24 and Maruzen APS2 Mag

Hello everyone. Just a quick question regarding mags for a CA M24 SOCOM.

- Is Maruzen APS2 mag compatible with CA M24?
- Which is durable?

Looks like they are the same based on the pics I seen in HK online shop but just want to make sure. Peace!

I modified an APS2 Mag for Ken @ 007 for use in a CA 24. The BB feed lip (tower) need to be shortened about a 1/16 inch. Also the APS2 mag is slightly larger in outer diameter so you will either need to sand them down a bit to fit or file the mag well on the gun. I think Ken has a couple CA24 mags in stock.

Pretty much ya, my experience as well as what I've read, the Maruzen mags fit tighter, and will feed but are a little bit different (although made out of better plastic) than the CA ones.

Thanks for the answer Markedman and CDN Stalker. I guess I'll stick with the CA mag for now and try to fix the BB lip if my mod idea will work but if not I will go for Maruzen.

I fix my CA M24 mags by cutting a small piece of brass (I get it frm the hobby shop, is about 3/8" wide by about 0.5mm thick) to size to fit on top of each feed lip, then use good instant glue to hold it on. Then I file it all smooth. I've been doing this for years now, every once in a while the brass falls off and I replace it, but on average I've only had to replace one or two per year, and that's from pretty heavy use. BTW, I have three mags all with this fix.

Stalker,

Do you have any pics of your mod? I have a few CA M24 mags where the lips at the top are starting to break due to the previous owner overloading the mag.
