Marui = Proprietary recoil shock engine, VFC = Standard V2 Gearbox

Nuff Said...

tho with the Marui its a good stock gun, you're limited to play indoors with it cuz once u start upgrading the spring, its gona take stress on parts then you gota get other parts specially made for it etc.

VFC SCAR runs a standard v2 gearbox that has tons of parts readily available for upgrades.

Another thing to point out is the TM Scar use proprietary magazines (even though there is an aftermarket part to fix that) while the VFC Scar uses the standard M4 AEG magazines. I don't have much experience with the Marui Scar, hell I've barely seen any of the TM recoil shock AEGs, but I own the VFC Scar-L for about 2 years. What i can tell you about the VFC Scar is that they are good quality AEGs and will last you for a long time. With my VFC Scar, I have a bit of rust popping from games during the rain, broke the wiring to the fuse (which I fixed by literally jamming it back in), lost the pin to attach the buttplate to the stock (also fixed with a help from a twig), and I broke the hopup dial during a big milsim game which was soon fixed by a replacement. Did all of that stop the Scar? Hell no, it kept working till the end and to this day, I have yet to open up my gearbox for the Scar mainly because it's not broken yet.

*every* gun can use lipos. If you get the correct voltage.

i recently got the VFC Scar-L and i love it. Yes it has a metal upper and polymer lower. I haven't gamed with it yet cause of school and work in the way. xD hopefully in the summer i can come out to one of the games.

Well my vfc scar h was a piece of shit that i had to fix every game and did not feed off it's propiraty fagile as hell midcap... While my tm guns are all over 10 years old.... Nuff said

Only upgrade required are a spring, metal bushings and a twist tight bore barrel.

In all honesty my opinon is based on 1 vfc versus hundreds of tm guns over the years but my inital contact was bad anough to stay clear of the brand all togetter. I own over 15 airsoft guns anf only abouy 6 work properly.... All tm based gund.. G&G and g&p wont feed, ca never finishes a day without breakbg something, top lmg are tempermantal beasts once you upgrade de shit out of them, dboys well it fell appart. Call me old school but I like what works... And for the moment I have yet to find a brand that is a durable as the original
Tm guns. I have not seen the tm
Scar but for for me the choice is easy.

The problem you have deals with the fact that you have a -H not a -L. Never expect to game well with something with proprietary parts. The vfc light is an excellent choice. The TM one I would get to play around the house and practice mag reloads for gas guns because the TM has the bolt catch simulator.

I would recommend the VFC any day of the week.

as i said, TMs are the best guns out of the box if you don't touch the internals at all. But having said that, you are limited to indoors with the 280 FPS it comes standard. Upgrading it will cause problems just like any gun out there. its not like you can throw in a spring to shoot 380 and its gona be all fine. it may be able to take the beating i don't know but still......

plus vonduik's TMs are the old TMs not the recoil shock stuff completely different systems

Have any of you actually owned a TM recoil shock system or just heard this and that?

I would like to own one, but hard to source in country.

yeah i was gonna say good luck tryin to get a TM here cause of the low fps itll be hard to import.
that said if you can get one in order field it outdoors you need to swap the spring the bishings probably the piston and piston head and prolly the spring guide while your in there, then the motor may need an upgrade to run efficiently, then as good as tm's are stock the parts are made for sub300fps so you may as well swap the gears too.
as far as the vcf, i seen a cpl scar l and s bunch of 416 and a few 417's and they wer all beastly guns that didnt need nothin out of the box in order to game

Ive got a marui scar h and its tons of fun, expensive though. If your playing indoors it'll probably outshoot the VFC, but with 300fps you can have all the accuracy and consistency in the world but you still can't hit things at as far as a 400fps gun.

As for upgrading its all speculation as to how well or not well it would go.

A side note, I was out today in the cold and it seemed like everyone was having hopup issues with the cold weather, be it g&p, magpul, aftermarket and systema however mine was working like any other day with fantastic consistency.

If you want great accuracy and consistency and mostly the novelty of a (very) light recoil the TM is the choice but VFC would be more reasonable for price and out of the box high fps reliability and probably aesthetics as well and not to mention- its much easier to get.

So you just have to pick what you fall into now.
