Yeah, I did something like that recently to a leather watchband; soaked it then left it overnight wrapped tight around a bottle
slightly bigger than my wrist. Fits perfectly now.
But once the holster is all dried out, then give it a heapin' helpin' of oil and Dubbin, just to make it beautiful and water-resistant.
