Its actually not too hard. You just need to remove the front receiver pin and the entire receiver slides in half horizontally. Its daunting at first, but just remember where the screws are placed.. If ure still not comfortable, look for youtube videos online. I used to be scared too, but now my M4 is completely dissassembled.
