Is Vietnam Dead in the Province of Quebec

i don't think i saw 1 real Vietnam game on a proper field(not a paintball field) in all of 2015, what has happened to the Nam community in Quebec?

We are just waiting for TET to come around again and we can interrupt the armistice ;)

HUh?
I thought Mirabel was nice enough for an urban Vietnam game.
Anyhow, there was the HO chi Minh inferno game in August also.

The Vietnam community/organisations is being reorganized along the model of WW2Quebec.org (https://www.facebook.com/groups/4846...77715/?fref=ts)

There will be more events next season. So far, the main issue is the lack of balance between sides so far; there are few dedicated vietnamese reenactors to balance out with the US reenactors.

Blasphemy! One Vietcong is worth 20 US soldiers. We proved it many times... with bolt action rifles against masses of M60 and stoners.

For those curious - The majority of VN guys in Ontario have moved to living history and real steel. That being said, we DO still have our AEGs somewhere....We shall see what 2016 brings.

We run a history page now on FB - https://www.facebook.com/InCountry.ca/?fref=ts for those interested.

That is true, our human wave attack on the US outpost was priceless.

i thought the terrain in Sherbrooke and Pont Rouge last year was superb, however nothing was posted this year that i'm aware of. And although there was the Ho Chi Ming game i think it had like 15 people signed up for the vietnamese, if you count in no shows i would think that there would have been less than a dozen, a 3 hour drive is a bit much for 11-12 people

It all depends on the quality of the game and players not the number of people! The best nam op I've ever played in had 10 guys! But these we 10 hardcore devoted guys that put effort into playing the game like a real op and for a few hours I felt like I was actually there being hunted by the VC. It was intense!

The NamQuebec Website is up.

We used to have lax uniform/gear rules for the vietnamese. Hardly anyone was willing to have a real VC/NVA impression but if you are willing to tolerate a wider variety of guns for that side then you will get more people willing to play.

A very nice site it is, too.

And not on Facebook , neither, 'sti ( although there is still a lot of cross traffic.)

Site seems to be down :(

You can still access the forum: http://namquebec.forum-box.com/index.php

1 game all summer, that had to have the date changed on top of that, so i guess it is dead after all.

Drakker August 29th, 2016 20:45

Well, if you're up to it, why not organize one? There are clearly a lot of players interested, but very few are willing to set up and run large games.
