metal propane adapter
 

i bought the metal propane adapter with a spot so you fill a little silicon oil inside it.

So, does this mean i don't have to put a drop of oil on the mag every couple of mags since i have some oil inside the adapter?

Yea, the metal ones have a tendency to shred small o-rings and wear out the stem in the brass fill valves.

my first gbb gun so i just search you tube and found metal ones with good reviews so i went for it, i will look into plastic one

I used both the metal and plastic one (the original) and the plastic has far less leaks (plastic on metal) than the metal one (metal on metal).

You need to get some silicone in your mags, so you can either put it directly on your mags valve or on the propane tank valve before screwing the adapter in. Your choice, either will work.

Yes, and half of their releases were metal.
Not to mention the plastic ones break easily and you have to buy a new one.

They used brass instead of steel for the nozzle, as well as switched to plastic to reduce the price of the product as well as increase the life of fill valves.

Who says his nozzle isn't brass?

I have had every AI adapter and the ONLY one that hasn't broken is the new plastic one. The new ones bend and old ones snap.

For GBB mag lubrication youre much better off spraying your silicone in & on the vent valve/gasket, depressing the knocker valve as you do, also spray some around the knocker valve, whilst working the valve in and out.

I've never use the drop of silicone in the adapter tek, I dont feel it gets the lube everywhere it needs to be, in decent enough quantity, to keep the O-rings in good condition.

No, putting the oil in the adapter atomizes the oil into the propane, and will distribute it everywhere the gas goes in your gun.

Ive heard that term being used before re: GBBs, but to be honest, proper atomization of oil as a lubricant requires a lot more than the simple process of adding 5 drops of oil into the top of the propane tank every 8 mag refils or whatever AI reccomend.

For what we need it to do, you're just as well off spraying silicone directly on the O-rings themselves, where possible and in the gas reservoir of the mag.

In reality, atomization is more suited to high speed bearings where lubrication on a conventional basis, isnt really suitable.

Im not saying it doesnt work or is unsuitable, but its easier to give the necessary parts a good dose less often, than every where a smaller dose more often.

But each to their own.
