Need help to put on Ciras properly

As the title says I need help. I have a Pantac Ciras Land. I've been looking for a vid or pics or anything.

HEP ME PLEASE!

I have the same problem bro. I just put it on, adjust it, and then take it on and off like a shirt.

The cumperbun bares the weight of the rig. SO..adjust the side panels to meet in the middle under the velcro panel. Adjust the length around the waste...and over the shoulders via the internal loop and ring system at the back under the velcro panel.. The rig should sit above where a duty belt would be...so put on your duty belt first then adjust the rig to sit above it. When you put the rig on or off...just pull one side of the waste off of the velcro so that the adjustment is still set.....to put it back on...put it over your head...do up the cumperbun...and close the side of the waste panel and you should be cumffy
There ya go...

So do I have to take the thing apart to adjust it?

This might help a bit in regards to putting it on - http://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/revie...aCIRASvest.htm

Well...you do have to pull the cable out to re-adssut but the vest does not have to be taken apart....
Lie the vest on the ground...open up the velcor panel to expose the cable and loops.....slide the cable out of the loop and adjust the straps. Reinsert the loop...insert the cable and test fit....repeat as necessary...

Ok that worked, thanks rusty. But I think its too large for me. Can anyone who wears one of these tell me where the top of it is suppose to stop? The top seems to high, almost choking me.

H-G May 10th, 2010 21:00

top of the plate is supposed to be at the collar bone, bottom at the belly button

Eeyore May 10th, 2010 21:05

So that would mean that its suppose to be that close to my neck. Odd feels like its sliding backwards and choking me. I'm gonna lengthen the shoulders and see if that helps.

H-G May 10th, 2010 21:17

if it's pulling back that means the mass you've affixed to the rig is unbalanced. Try redistributing- remember that this rig was made to be worn with heavy plates and armor, it's not a lbv

Try getting some high density foam like the stuff used for flutterboards. I found some 1 1/2" foam at wal-mart used for kneeling in the garden, cut into the shape of a SAPI Plate, put into CIRAS. I am so damn comfortable in it now, I wanted to take a nap.

Eeyore May 10th, 2010 21:49

I think its too large. I think I need a medium not a large. FUCK! I hate shopping online. I followed the size chart and even though I have a broad chest I'm short. Anyone know if WGC Shop will exchange it for me?

rustysniper May 10th, 2010 21:52

don't even try to exchange it...it will be more of a pain then it is worth and you have to pay x 2 shipping if they did take it back.
Post it up....and cut your losses and time.
