Tanks

So i have been trolling the forums checking out everything i can before i go into airsoft hardcore and i just stumbled upon a product from migsig.ca.

http://www.milsig.ca/store/index.php...ff15df94d39f52

I was just wondering if these had any use in the field? They look more like just a novelty item to me but i figured i would throw it out there see what everyone thinks.

I can't see the use on the field really, other then having them broken from someone not seeing them and stepping on it.

And I would'nt touch milsig, even with 100 feet long pole.

Not really. Too small to be of any real use. To noisy to conceal, and their terrain crossing abilities are pretty minuscule.

Its a hobby on its own. You get alot of those modellers who throw RC electronics into a model tank with an Infrared Laser "battle system." And they build towns and such modelled after WWII locations. (Normandy, etc)

As for airsoft, that part of the tank is usually scrapped to make room for the infrared light.

You could attach a mini hobby cam to it as a recon type thing, but they do not go fast enough to be efficient for anything.... and they're kinda loud.

I only know all this because I'm into that hobby as well!!! :D

For recon, a plane or heli would be more efficient. Hell, even a buggy would be faster, quieter, and more maneuverable.

I really don't see a practical application at all for these tanks. Too weak (190 +/- fps), too slow, too loud, and too vulnerable. Plus, if you don't have a CCTV or similar system hooked up, you would need to be running around behind it, and monitoring the tank would also place you at risk.

A quadcopter is more practical in the woods than a heli.

Absolutely agree with SuperHog about the quadcopter.

Dude this is the third thread you have necro'd for no reason other than to talk about quad copters. It is nice to see a new person using the search function but check the date the thread was posted/last post.
