Stripped thread solution?

Does anyone have solutions for stripped thread on the front end of Umarex G36C barrel? It's not completely stripped but almost to the minor diameter.

Run a 14mm- tap through it and hope for the best.

Don't have that tool. I don't suppose I can go to any repair shop and ask someone to do it?
