This topic still exist on some forums(under Murdoc, or Flippy username), is hopefully new for some airsofters...8O
I saw this photo, and I had an idea to make my CYMA SOCOM useful in Nam airsoft...

SLR front grip offered better control during full-auto fire.
The plans transfered to beech wood(I wanted walnut, but I just found unplaned ones... Staining may help  ) The stock was made from two halfs

Wood milling ready(as I thought that time... so naiv), and some help-holes bored.

I don't like that... vert grip thing, but the work is amazing! Well done ;)

Kokanee October 4th, 2009 15:13

So far very impressive! That's some precision routing, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Some linseed oil would really make for an awesome (and period correct, but I'm sure you're all over that) finish.

I was following this on Arnies, want to say how fuckin' cool that is.

ujiro October 4th, 2009 15:36

That is legendary man, I love that.
Especially the 30 rounder. Really well done

lemegacool October 4th, 2009 16:03

it ks absolutely sexy!!! one thing thought... it would look way better if you "blended" the front grip in the main stock with some putty so its like the grip was part of the receiver...

freakin good work thought... cnc router??

Auhydride October 4th, 2009 16:23

awesome crafting
it will look even better once it gets scratched :D

"freakin good work thought... cnc router??"
seems elbow grease to me heh

Skladfin October 4th, 2009 16:25

DUDE WOW!! just dont like the vert grip but everything else is just fucking beautiful

lemegacool October 4th, 2009 16:28

hutch1970 October 25th, 2009 14:52

Great to see when someone does good custom work.

rustysniper October 25th, 2009 19:03

impressive workmanship. Like others I don't really like the vertical grip. And the 30 mag looks goofy to me......but the wood working is FN awesome! Best I have ever seen!
