I'll start by posting a picture

I DIY blued my MP5 so hence the colour.

I would like to see what you've found out. :)

Alright well I'm not going to do a full review if that's what your asking.
The gun is very solid, no creaks or wobbles coming from any part of the gun. The push pins fit nicely in place and are very smooth unlike the push pins found in the WE guns.

The trigger pack looks very realistic, everything seems to be very nicely done. The selector switch is very smooth and goes into place very smoothly, however after extended use I can tell it is starting to show some wear. I haven't gamed the gun yet. The recoil with green gas is amazing, it kicks very nice and also sounds very nice. My mag is already leaking, had the gun for only a month or two now, haven't found a way to fix it yet because it is a pain in the ass to separate its shell. The gun has some bad cool down effect when shooting it in colder temperatures.

My bolt carrier has already started to worn because of full auto firing, the trigger pack is causing the wear to the bolt carrier, will have to look into this. It has happened to everyone who owned this gun. Replacement parts for the gun seems fairly readily available so that is not a worry.

I hope other owners can chime into this thread.. It's an amazing gun, the shell is nothing but perfect.

Alright, well first off if you plan to use this gun very often on full-auto be aware that the bolt carrier will wear down quite fast.
Maintenance isn't really a problem, the trigger pack seems to be fairly strong as long as you don't abuse it and properly lubricate the correct spots. As all GBBR's pure silicone oil from your local RC shop is a must. I recommend you oiling the gun after every time you use it.

I'm not good at review, but as a MP5 lover, this GBB is so solid. I've just got the RIS and retractable stock, they are also solid and the hand feel is good. But shooting, if you want it smooth, the alignment, modify and up grade is a must. Now I need to run it more and see how reliable it is.

That low profile rail, is that aftermarket or VFC?

You aren't AV'd so we're not able to tell you.
Get age verified and you'll get access on where to buy stuff like this.

Bloodstriker February 27th, 2012 02:26

Sounds good. I'm planning get the verification done next weekend.

Is it possible to ask what the approximate price is?

pancakedestroyer February 27th, 2012 02:34

Roughly $600-$800 depending on the retailer.

Don't use silicone oil. If you use a quality grease instead of oil, you'll experience less wear.

Good thing I changed to using Tamiya grease! Hopefully that will slow down the wear.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Which Tamiya grease are you using? Molybdenum is better than ceramic for mechanical usage.
